Books and CDs by Rosemary Phillips
It’s always exciting to be published especially if it’s a work that has taken heart and soul for many years. The following are my publications to date (2007), some with links to more information and reviews from readers and listeners.
BOOKS:
“Sliced Bread” was over twenty years in the baking process and finally popped out of the oven in 1999 through Loonbook in Nanaimo, publisher on demand. It is a metaphor for life, taken one slice (chapter) at a time. A Bite of Sliced Bread features stories (bites) from the book.
“One Seed” , the children’s story and song that has been put into book form. It has also been presented to many schools and introduces discussion on such topics as helping a garden grow, courage, ideas, inventions, creativity, perseverance, hope, and that it’s OK to be different. The “One Seed” web page also provides the presentation outline for schools, and reviews from kids and teachers.
CD's
“Homemade with Rosemary”, is a collection of my own songs geared to change, life transitions and healing. The first pressing has already sold out. Response has been incredible, some listeners claiming it has helped them through family crisis, grief, getting to sleep, or simply starting each day with inspiring music.
"Asha" is a single song release that also includes instructions for a circle dance of peace, harmony and hope for this planet Earth and all life.
"Me and My Guitar" is a recent release (2007) that features comedic songs, and songs of hope.
"Kids Stuff" is a compilation of those songs that children have really enjoyed.
And watch for new works, presently in progress. It has certainly been a pleasure in my life to use words to touch, and then extend those words into music to feel.
