Dear Readers,
November was certainly a very exciting month as
“One Seed”
made the rounds of Okanagan schools here in British Columbia. It
was an incredible learning experience. The book, CD and presentation
were really well received, with great feedback in support.
It was such a joy to stand in front of so many children to share
the story - about a seed that decided to grow when all the others
said it was impossible and couldn’t be done. We also shared
ideas, success stories and sang the song together. It certainly
didn’t take long for them all to learn and sing the chorus
“It took one seed to make a diff’rence…”
It warmed my heart.
I met up with wonderful people, and certainly have to say that
I have great respect and give full support and thanks to all those
who have chosen to be teachers and principals in our schools.
“One Seed”
has just gone into reprint with a different kind of paper that will
allow for wax crayons to colour the drawings, if children so wish.
Meanwhile, “The Day the Wind Changed”, (the story about
a tiny village on the side of a tiny hill where every day was the
same, until…) is undergoing the many rewrites necessary to
get just the right rhythm, wording and sound.
So, until I write about news again in January, to you all, Season’s
Greetings, and peace.
Rosemary
