August 2003
Hello Folks,
Well here it is – the exciting news – a reformatted
new-look web site! How I love to work with color. It’s time
to stop being so timid.
This has been a terrific adventure, prodded on by my need to re-evaluate
everything I’m doing (don’t worry, this happens frequently).
It also helps to have a web manager who is continuously reminding
me to think “web words” and “search engines”
and “what are you trying to say?”
Thanks to Green Thumb Web Design. You’ve really taken on
a challenge here. And such courage to tell a writer how to write!
Thanks also go to Brandon who took on the original challenge of
setting up the QQN web site last year. He’s moving on to other
things and I wish him great success.
New Articles
The web site now has many more articles that you can find through
the Index.
My horizons have expanded from interview
articles with artists to include feature
articles, children’s
stories, books,
and maybe down the road if this is really working well – web
site copy for all those who have stories to tell on their own personal
web pages. This is all included now under the section Writing
Services.
Now articles that get posted on this web site will also have photographs
and graphics, if they are available.
Canadian Interiors Magazine
Watch for an article in Canadian Interiors magazine (now available
on magazine racks) late this fall on William Switzer, who’s
still going strong with his furniture lines. The family business
has been around for years and now has grown to include show rooms
right across North America. Would you believe I worked for Bill
over 30 years ago as an assistant designer? Well yes, I’m
having a hard time believing it too. You know, Bill looks the same
now as he did then – just got white hair, that’s all.
So until September, which isn’t very far away – peace
and harmony…
Cheers
Rosemary
